First let me answer the question. Since lojban is used in a number of science fiction works, including mine, there has been some interest in a general 50 minute combined presentation and Q&A on the language. A bog standard basic description with its history and usage in SF and then the very basics of the language would be ideal.
That being said I don't think that someone who "can't keep a straight face" while discussing the language is a good choice. I am grateful to Linda from LA for her kind offer, even though for economic and logistical reasons it won't work out. I am a bit peeved that when I present an opportunity for a speaker to present to what could be a group with an interest my thread gets hijacked so two people who appearently have a long running dispute of some kind can discuss that.
If someone with an interest in presenting an informative panel on lojban at Archon who is local and who can "keep a straight face" please let me know.
