I'm so sorry for never posting the final version when I said I would. Like most of the projects I attempt, I got stuck with this one at a late stage and became distracted with new ideas. The system is now finished, and I'd love to answer some of the questions from this thread (which I found just now by googling random lojban things).
- The final version is now "Version 4". Any material you see pertaining to earlier versions is out of date.
- The finished PDF was released a month or so ago and is online here:
public Google Docs- The graphics in the examples were rendered using the Opentype font that I developed along with the orthography. All the glyphs are complete, but unfortunately I was unable to complete the Opentype scripting required to make the font usable (this where I got stuck and gave up in 2010). The system has custom glyph combination rules and the Opentype system was too difficult for me to create such a complex system. I am convinced it can be done though, so if you know anyone who is skilled with font creation then I'd love to collaborate to release a finished font. If you'd like the unfinished font to create graphics from the glyphs, I'd be happy to supply it.
- The font (and the vectors for individual glyphs) was created with a combination of FontLab and FontForge.
Sorry if I'm gravedigging by replying to this. I put a lot of effort and cared a great deal about this project so it's very exciting when someone is interested.
