[lojban] Projects and not Proposals

I have tasks for people! Who wants to help? Gold stars are in order for my best helpers. =P

(I'm serious... if you provide a mailing address I will send you an actual physical letter of acknowledgement, or other prizes by request, for helping. Send me a personal e-mail with what you did and where you want things sent.)

1. We need more lesson videos on our YouTube account. Look at what's there and what's been covered, pick a section that hasn't been done from the wave lessons, and make a video. If you don't want to do that, any tutorial video is fine. If you want to talk about more advanced topics, that's totally great. Let me or banseljaj know by e-mail/irc and we will post it for all to see. Newbies are actually watching these, so if you spot newbies, make sure they know about the lesson videos.

2. We need video bloggers. Make videos, group up, share them, pass them around, collaborate. Follow guskant's example. More media is better. Talk about your cat, talk about your new computer, talk about your feelings, talk about your shitty day, be totally creepy and stand there with your icebox open saying {ti bisli} over and over again (we all love you, selckiku!), do whatever you can think to do as long as it's actually something and you do it and you record it and it has Lojban in it. Seriously.

3. I need y'all to list out and define every sense of the word "balance" with regards to finances (to balance a cheque book, bank account balance...). If you see a sense and have a better suggestion for the definition/translation than what is already there, please add that in along with why you feel your definition is appropriate (but please avoid saying negative things about the other submissions).

4. There is a whole bunch of footage from jbonunsla that needs editing. The links are out there. Make a video for us.

5. Do one of the big five and then tell us about it! Have you:

...learned something cool? Share it! (or better yet, make a video!)

...taught new people? Have them say hello and provide input on how the learning materials are working for them. As a teacher, let us know what's working for you to teach newbies.

...translated something? There's a project going right now to translate the first pokemon game and it could be fully finished in no time flat if there was help. Exercise those skills!

...created something? Brag about it! You deserve it! Who else could have done it? Just you! You're awesome and we appreciate you.
