Re: [lojban] Re: Keyboard keys

Correct me if I'm wrong, but anything postfixed with .bu refer to the character, not to the actual button on the keyboard, right?
So for example denpa bu refer to the character "," not the button. The button for "," is "denpa bu batke", right?
And "ni'obu" would be some kind of character (like that one in wordprocessors) symbolizing the action performed by pressing the "Return"-button?

Otherwise I think it's a good idea to translate all kind of characters and keyboard-buttons into lojban. Preferably a systematic translation of all Unicode-characters.

space bar

I prefer tersai button, rather than canlubu (a typographic space isn't a threedimensional space)

I intentionally didnt open  http://www.lojban.org/tiki/Keyboard+key+names  before translating.
Now I see some better solutions there.

Evolved Lojban Keyboard is awesome. Better than Dvorak. How can I use it?

So, I very quickly (as in an arbitrary decision needs to be made within the next 36 hours) need names for all of the keys. I've elected to use the phrasing {la'e .a bu batke fi lo nu co'e} because it's short and gets the point across in a character-limited space. If this is absolutely verbotten, please let me know, but otherwise don't nitpick. I see http://www.lojban.org/tiki/Keyboard+key+names contains some of the keys, but not all of them. So, the ones I specifically need and on which I would like a quick consensus are:

space bar

canlubu

escape

cliva bu

up
down
left
right

left, right, up, down buttons - zunle, pritu....bu ?

left shift
right shift

tarmi bu???

left control
right control

sazri bu...

left alt
right alt

Alt + left = stika bu joi/jo'u zunlebu ?

tab
enter

cfari bu

backspace

trixyvimcu bu

insert

definitely {setca bu}, although will probably be a conflict with "paste" function which is also {setca} in computer sense.

delete

vimcu bu

page up

This is not "page up" but rather "large space up". However, as we haven't decided on how to say "page" in general (no matter if it's made of paper or displayed on your screen, I'd rather stick with {te tcidu} and {se tcidu} depending on situation) let it be {galtu zei ckupau bu}

page down

{dizlo zei ckupau bu}

home

krasi bu. {zdani bu} is kinda metaphor.

end

{fanmo bu} if {fanmo} = {to'e krasi}

/ (keypad)
* (keypad)
- (keypad)
+ (keypad)
. (keypad)
enter (keypad)

not a clue.

num lock

Numlock - number switch, na'uvra bu?

capslock

Should use the same gismu as for "shift". tarmi vraga???
scroll lock

lacpu bu

pause

.ii {denpa bu} has already another meaning!
sisti bu?

1 (keypad)
2 (keypad)
3 (keypad)
4 (keypad)
5 (keypad)
6 (keypad)
7 (keypad)
8 (keypad)
9 (keypad)
0 (keypad)

again not a clue. Something like {nonckiku bu} etc....?

"gamepad"
joystick right
joystick left

Sorry. No ideas.

Help is muchly appreciated and I will try to compensate you in some manner for your assistance.

As a random side-bit, I found this in my search and thought it was interesting. Anybody try it? I'm going to once I force myself to take a break from translating.
