Nobody showed me how to migrate Tiki to MediaWiki. The internet didn't help either. And I'm not a programmer.
It was only Robin who kindly provided me with the full dump of the tiki.
Then by installing several extensions to mediawiki i was able to import
1. all the media files themselves
2. all the redirects to media files (media can be linked in tiki in two ways: by the number of the file (kinda id of it) or by it's name).
3. the text of articles converted to mediawiki format.
This last step was the hardest. Tables are not converted as i couldnt find an algorithm to convert them. Many hyperlinks are broken.
Note that all the pages from the old tikiwiki are prefixed with "Old pages: "
This can help prevent mixing between old pages and new ones (as za'a, la tsani and la guskant use the new wiki for some purposes).
As we agreed in the previous LMW thread the old pages is not the ultimate truth. They are a subject of editing or even deleting if their content is totally inappropriate at present.
I suggest everyone start improving the new wiki as there is no content in the old wiki that wasn't transferred to LMW. Except broken formatting somewhere.
Of course I'll try helping with technical side when needed (and when you ask).
