[lojban] Online course to teach Lojban

Hello,
I'm not a Lojban speaker, but I am interested in the language. I'd like to
tell you about a free (to use) platform for learning languages called
Duolingo that I've stumbled upon. They rely on word of mouth, and don't
show ads. The way they fund themselves is by crowdsourcing translations of
texts - users may translate texts (including these paid-for ones) for
practice. This obviously appeals to users as their number now surpasses
two million.
Currently they only offer popular Romanic and Germanic languages, and as
one of the founders had said, staff adding new languages to learn does not
"scale". For this reason, they've decided that they will entrust the
community with course creation too. I hope you understand where I'm going
with this.
However, I need to note that their teaching model is peculiar: Each lesson
consists of sentences to translate to or from the language you're
studying. This can then be augmented with images, or explanations of those
words that are new. Every other explanation, including most of grammar,
comes from other learners, which may comment on each sentence.
They're going to admit applications for new languages by the end of the
year, if I'm not mistaken. Once they do that, one of you would have to
apply as a moderator, and others as collaborators.
Care to take a look at it and tell me what you think?
