Re: [lojban] Alice essay

[quick Wikipedia check] Actually from 1944, but the _expression_ was used much earlier to refer to aboriginal troops and auxiliaries to the armies of the Raj (Kipling).  The tongue-twister aspects deive from the song.

Possibly, though not a very complex one. It is novelty song from my youth (1950s?) and a childish _expression_ about teddy bears before that (Lord knows how far back).
