Is there a word that means "nondenominational unit of currency or money"?
I'm up to "rupnu" in the fraso gimste. The gloss is "dollar", which at first I
thought incongruous. So I looked it up in jbovlaste. The gloss is "dollar"
with minor variations in English, German, and Hungarian. In Spanish it's
"peso", in Russian "доллар/рубль" (dollar/ruble), in Esperanto "speso" (a unit
formerly used by Esperantists, along with its multiple the spesmilo), and in
Japanese there is no gloss. I'm leaving "dollar", as there are many French
speakers in Canada who use Canadian dollars. What gloss word should we use for
"rupnu" when translating the gimste?
