Re: [lojban] GameplaySearch Kickstarter 2014

I second {la van}. Lojban's semantics are not fully specified, and even parsing it correctly is tricky in some cases. Also, expecting your users to learn lojban is unrealistic.

You might want to look into Attempto Controlled English [1], but I'd focus on getting the query language right and general and helping users construct queries rather than parsing human language.

Also, I tried to use the advanced search on your website and got an error. Steps taken
1. Click on "advanced search"
2. Select "Final Destination", "Mr. Game & Watch", and "Sheik (If you should only be able to select one of each category, you should be using radio buttons, not check boxes)
3. Click on "continue"
4. Get uninformative webpage that says "Error" and "Sorry, an error occurred."

I believe that the very moment I see it.
pe'i You're overly confident.

It's _not_ easy to support the semantics of "full-blown Lojban".
Otherwise lots of projects would do that already..
There are some attempts out there, but well... To the best of my
knowledge, they all fall short of various aspects.
