Hi, everyone! In short, I'm going to organizing a Lojban language meetup on 29th August. Looking forward to some logbanists living near Hong Kong to join us! Thanks for Open Innovation Lab for hosting the event.
- Date/Time: Friday, August 29 at 8:00pm to 9:00pm
- Location: Room 831, Ho Sing-Hang engineering building, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
- Host: Open Innovation Lab
- Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/lojbanhk/
Yesterday I was invited to join a group chat about open-tech. None of them knew about Lojban. However, I wanted to do something surprising there so I said "coi rodo" to others. To my surprise, then someone replied "coi" to me and introduced themselves by "mi'e <name>". Later I sent them the Lojban IRC cheat sheet and we started some basic conversation in Lojban. This was mind-blowing and it turned out that adopt someone to learn Lojban is not as difficult as I thought. Therefore, I decided to start a Lojban language meetup with that group of people.
I know that Lojban community is great, and it would be great if you can offer some help to this meetup:
- If you are near Hong Kong on 29th August, whether you are a beginner or an expert of Lojban, please come and join!
- Did anyone organized Lojban meetups before? It would be great if you can share some experience!
- What is the best way to get someone interested in Lojban? Any good examples?
- How do I say if I want to relate Lojban with open technology? (Since the host Open Innovation Lab is related to the topic about open technology)
Looking forward to your replies!
