Re: [lojban] translating Tatoeba

Yes, of course, I translated 376 strings out of 901.
It's important to understand that each person has their own opinion on how to translate a phrase from English to Lojban.

Uncoordinated translation can lead to similar sentences (both in semantics or syntax) to be translated in a very different way.

This can potentially make the overall translation less valuable.

I noticed while localizing Tatoeba and Skype that the resulting set of translated strings can have more quality than the original English set due to better usage of antonyms and style.

E.g. while translating Tatoeba I got rid of all lujvo and changed into a (much better in my opinion) analytic style.

It is possible to translate the Tatoeba interface:
http://en.wiki.tatoeba.org/articles/show/interface-translation#
I think this could help promote the language.
Has anyone tried?
Is anyone interested?
If not, I might try in a month or two when I'm more confident with the language.
