Re: [lojban] panda



If wrist wasn't four syllables {xanterjo'a}, I'd suggest something involving that.

Spheniscine entered {ci'onmau} to replace {cionmau}, which is invalidated by
the CGV rule. I said I once jokingly thought of calling the lesser panda
{cionme'a}, so he entered {ci'onme'a} as the lesser panda and defined
{ci'onmau} as just the giant panda. The giant panda is a bear while the red
panda is not, so any taxon that includes both includes all bears. But the two
pandas both have projecting wrist bones used to hold bamboo, not found
elsewhere in the Caniformia, so it is useful to speak of pandas. What should
we call pandas, including both species?
