[lojban] Re: "General you"?
I use "thrice" (and lament the lack of an equivalent for numbers beyond three).
And if I use you in a general sense, I always waste my time clarifying it!
I've noticed though, that in other languages it is common to just leave out the pronoun entirely in these kind of sentences. For example, "How do you say... ?" is often just "how to say...?" (in Russian and Esperanto, for example), or something else, like Spanish "¿Cómo se dice... ?" which uses the reflexive pronoun, meaning, I guess, "How does ...say itself?" or something (I'm not a fluent speaker of Spanish, by any stretch of imagination). So in light of that, I'd be more likely to use a sentence without a pronoun, than to use "do" in a general sense.
