Re: [lojban] one poem a week
Hello, I am the aforementioned Curtis Franks. I really like the sound of this program and would love to help out.
So, what are your ideas for how to get it going? What medium would be best for announcing topics and submission periods, recruiting participants and maintaining interest, and then in publishing (mildly reviewed) submissions? I think that social media outreach (Facebook and Twitter) could be highly effective and public/'marketable' in a sense. But having a dedicated periodical would and archive would be good.
How can we encourage initial involvement? The initial phase is critical, so we should try to get a lot of investment quickly. Facebook could be a ood avenue for this (there is a Lojban community there and then a tangential conlanging community that may be interested; we could even set up a separate Group which can host events). What else? The Facebook community is, of course, limited.
Then we need to sustain interest. How do you suggest that we do this? For example, money would be a great incentive, but we are not currently in a position to make that work. Do you think that we should eventually take that route? If so, how? What other ideas do you have?
More generally, how can I and the rest of the community help?
