I suppose the main reason for doing the Bible is that it is the text most t=
ranslated and the text that has been translated into the greatest number of=
languages, especially the NT.

Foolish though religion may seem, it is an empirical fact that many intelli=
gent people are religious, and though on the face of it it would seem surpr=
ising that a committed interest in Lojban could go hand in hand with a beli=
ef in creationism, again the facts show that this is possible.

Laziness prevents me from adding to this message, for the sake of cultural =
neutrality, a bit of Koran translation ,=20

the Bible is a great source of irrationality today. from gay bashers=20
to creationists, i see it breed a lot of mob think and illogical=20
beliefs. lojban being a language for intelligent and logical people,=20
i would hope most or all of the users are atheist. the only reason i=20
see to translate the Bible is the great wealth of other languages it=20
has been translated into for comparison. but i suppose it=20
appropriate that Alice in Wonderland and the Bible are the first=20
major projects--both are fairy tales.
