There are advantages to using lgs other than English, because it raises
translation snags that English might not raise, but there are disadvantages,
namely (i) us monoglots can't track the evolution properly through every stage,
and (ii) some screw-ups are due some translators'
inadequate command of the lg they're translating from (inadequate given the IMO
impressively high standards of the last 2 rounds).
