What might a suitable brivla be for 'patient' in the technical
linguistics sense, expressed in English by
"x1 does x2 to x3"
"x1 treats x2 (in manner x3)"
"x1 affects x2 (without necessarily causing x2 to change)"?

I haven't been able to find anything halfway decent.
