The ".y." is outside the grammar of the sentence, rather like an English 
adverbial. Either the sentence is ungrammatical, or we apply that rule 
(i.e. don't apply scope rules to selma'o Y), in which case I suppose it 
would come out as "I see the boat. Cool, er, not."
