BTW, I stumbled in an interesting and dedicated site (http://www.sil.org), = =3D=0D where I found this "Linguistic Creed" (by Benjamin F. Elson, September, 1987), beautifully exp= =3D=0D ressing my very conviction=20 since my boyhood, which I want to share with you: "We believe that language is one of God's most important gifts to man, and = =3D=0D of all human characteristics,=20 language is the most distinctly human and the most basic. Without language,= =3D=0D culture and civilization would=20 be impossible. We also believe that any language is capable of being a vehicle for compli= =3D=0D cated human interaction and=20 complex thought, and can be the basis for a complex culture and civilizatio= =3D=0D n. Therefore, all languages deserve respect and careful study. As the most uniquely human characteristic a person has, a person's language= =3D=0D is associated with his self- image. All languages are worthy of preservation in written form by means of gramma= =3D=0D rs, dictionaries, and=20 written texts. This should be done as part of the heritage of the human rac= =3D=0D e.
