The following is a simple old Hungarian hit ("sl=E1ger") from the 30ies, wr=
it=3D=0D
ten by "Kis Seress" (kic.CErec.) a once "great" piano=20
player and composer (of small build - 1.60 cm) who refused going to the US =
=3D=0D
for starting a world career (and actually even didn't=20
leave his Pesti quarter for years to go over to Buda!). Being asked for how=
=3D=0D
he wrote all his famous hits (Gassenhauer=3Dpopular=20
songs), he'd reply "with half my right hand", because, besides not knowing =
=3D=0D
to read music, he actually played his piano only with=20
three fingers of his right hand. He'd play every night in his little bar in=
=3D=0D
Budapest, singing his songs in a low voice just as if=20
humming them to himself. He is the composer of world-famous "Szomor=FA vas=
=E1r=3D=0D
nap" (badri nondei) - starting a whole surge of=20
suicides in Hungary and other countries!

I wonder whether it's possible to translate really simple lyrics like those=
=3D=0D
into lojban and thus maybe conveying old "European=20
mood" to nowadays American people - whose "logic" BTW quite often seems ha=
=3D=0D
rdly comprehensible to me :-(.
(Yet there are also still remarkable deficiencies in the Lojban language it=
=3D=0D
self: what the hell is the lb word for "already" - i.e. the=20
section/part of an event *before* a virtuel/natural (unexpressed) starting =
=3D=0D
or ending point! - it's still missing in the vocabulary!=20
There's a heavy need for something comparable to {za'o} - which IMHO is *no=
=3D=0D
t* an appropriate source for derivatives to solve this=20
problem.)

As for my try, any help and critique is appreciated! (First of all, can you=

get the sense/mood of it?)
