The tune gets a bit odd in places, but overall it works rather well.
I'll do this in the key of C, and generally use the scale from G to F (i to
ai) because otherwise certain high parts sound out of place.

The first line is the Lojban, the second is the notes (with accented notes
marked with a *) and the third is what key the measure seems to be in.

An entirely passable chord progression. The fact that it's almost always major
tonic (C) or dominant (G) gives it a cheerful sound, except it takes an odd
turn toward jazz in the last two lines.

(I can see a discussion on how to name chords in Lojban coming on...)
