I remain confused. {li pa} contains a number or mex, or both?

It contains a mex that happens to consist of a single operand that happens to consist of a number that happens to consist of a single digit.

{li R2D2}?

It contains a mex that happens to consist of a single operand that happens to consist of a lerfu-string that happens to consist of two lerfu mixed with two digits.

{li pa su'i pa}? {li pa su'i abu}?

Those contain mex that involve two operands and an operator.

And which ones would be killed?

Only "li R2D2", because "R2D2" would no longer be a valid lerfu-string.
