All the measurement words have a "by standard" place. The standard for the
meter has been two marks on a metal bar, a count of wavelengths of light
emitted by krypton, and a second with the speed of light fixed (the current
standard).
I vote yes.
Another place inconsistency: "mitre" has a place for direction, whereas no
other length unit does.
