blofanpinga'a = blo (bloti=boat) + fan (falnu=sail) + pin (pinta=horizontal) + ga'a(grana=pole)
Although maybe it would be better for the {pin} to precede {fan}.
Anyway, the sail is held by two poles - the mast, which is vertical, and the boom, which is horizontal. The mast is talked about more often, so it gets {blofanga'a}, whereas the boom is horizontal.
It works great in speech too:
.i blofanpinga'a
meaning: we've just made an uncontrolled jibe, so the boom is swinging right at your head. Duck!

Add blofanpinga'a for the boom
I'm not really into sailing, so I don't understand this. Why {pin}?
It may help if you expand {blofanpinga'a}.

Boats have a number of rods and poles of various
kinds that are an important part of their 'construction'.
I think it makes sense to develop lujvo for them as
a set so as to minimize future confusion.
Here is my proposal:

3) g1=b3 blofanga'a g2 f1 f3=b1 (mast)
from
g1=s1=b3 grana g2 gi'e sarji lonu f1 falnu be f2 f3 kei s3 s4 gi'e jai terblo b1 b2
4) g1=b3 blomatryga'a g2 m1 m2=b2 (propeller shaft)
