I think you want {mi pu noroi pidversra ...}. Without {ba'o}, because
you are talking about the sponsoring itself, not the time after the
sponsoring. {pu noroi} says that in the past there was no time such
that ... whereas {noroi pu} says that at no time it is/was/will be the
case that in the past ...

I prefer {se bangu} instead of {tavla fo}, because it is not the act of
saying something that's relevant here but the fact of being a user
of a certain language.
