Wouldn't it be possible for some of our academic lojbanists to make contact with counterparts in Arab and Indian universities in order to introduce them to lojban? This is a wonderful product - why not promote it? The only way to ensure lojban is 'culturally neutral' is to get non-Europeans involved in it.

The designers were all native English speakers, the words for the
etymologies from other languages were all obtained from dictionaries,
not from any actual knowledge of those languages. The Spanish translation
of the gimste was done much later. The gismste has also been fully
translated into Esperanto. I think there were people working on Russian,
French and German translations, but I don't know how advanced those
are (or whether any of them has been completed).
