It may also be that the problem is not your pronunciation but some
channel filter. I remember in one of the STWURs I and everyone else
kept hearing Robin's c's as s's, which was surprising to me because
I had heard him speak before and that had never happened. When I
heard the recording he posted later, the c'c were clear c's. So there
must have been some filtering in the transmission that turned the c's
into s's. Something like this may (or may not) be happening to you.
