akin to adverbs or prepositional phrases. They tell how (/when/where,
etc.) something took place, not what it was that took place, which is the job
of the brivla, which every bridi/sentence must have (although not all utternaces
are bridi). cu'u would be used in something like "la vid banli cu'u la gejyspa"
("Vid is great, according to what Turnip spoke"), which is not the
same thing as "lu a vid banli li'u se cusku la gejyspa" (" 'Vid
is great', said Turnip"), although they are similar. One is a
assertion of your greatness, qualified by the fact that I have spoken it, and
the second is the assertion that I have actually spoken a certain string
of words (that state you are great))..
