In general Cy don't require to be followed by a pause except in a very
special context (when both preceded directly by a CV cmavo and
followed directly by a brivla or CVV cmavo). But I believe CLL does
give as a safe rule to always pause after them.

But if you stress the first {la} of {la srilankas}, and don't pause after it,
you get {lasri la nkas}.
