"Teddy is playing at Trap and Ball." It took a bit of historical
research of the web to find out what that was, but it would be a shame
if you lost it.

la bab" a shepherd may not be the owner of sheep, but merely watches
them. So I would suggest "....poi bandu loi lanme...". Also, with
regards to the dog, "poi se ponse" is the same as "po'e"

"la betis. cu gasnu lo nu lo ladru cu binxo lo matne" Is okay, but you
might also want to consider the simpler "la betis jai galfi lo ladru
lo matne" ("X gasnu lo nu Y binxo Z" is generally = "X galfi Y Z")

"cevni dinju" -> "malsi"

"lo selkelrcytlkaki" or maybe even "lo terda'i selkei")

"la nelis. cu kelci" With lojban.org down, not sure if there is a
word for "doll". Maybe "cifka'i selkei"?

"ko viska lo stodi je tolci'o xirma" This may or may not be correct,
depending on what the author meant by "steady". I expect the meaning
of "steadfast/depndable/reliable" is meant here, so "selylacri" might
be better (and, yes, I know that means "relied upon" rather than "able
to be relied upon", but this is a beginner book")
