If the context is obvious, also {lo birje botpi} for "a bottle of
beer" would work.

For this one I would prefer Pierre's {da cukta ga'u le jubme}. I feel
the focus isn't on the event of "a book being on the surface of the
table" but rather of "something being a book on the table". {da cukta
ga'u le jubme} has also fewer brivla than {lo cukta cu cpana lo
jubme}, which I believe gives rise to more readability.
