i am 3 days into learning lojban and have no problem with the grammar (i am a computer programmer and scripter of sorts) but i dont know how to proceed with learning words and their meanings. is there an effective way to gain vocabulary? what did other students find helpful?

Just about all the important gismu, rafsi and cmavo are there. It's particularly good
at identifying the words you have most problems with and making you focus on them.
