[lojban-beginners] Re: Alice In Wonderland

so for a newbie such as myself what text would you recommend?  At this point I have the basic concepts of most of the grammar down and I think it's mostly just a matter of seeing as much vocab as humanly possible.  I've been reading some of the poetry on lojban.org but it's hard when there isn't an english translation to go along with it to see if I understood it correctly.

Don;t be so sure.  While I hadn't read much of Alice, the very small part I have read had at least one error -- "fange" used when "fengu" was clearly meant.  I know that my Berenstain Bears and the Prize Pumpkin piece, and my translation of Esther, and xorxes' Little Prince have been extensively looked at by pairs of eyes other than the author and discussed, so problems have hopefully been caught.

(I should note that Esther is an extremely difficult read, and wouldn't recommend it as a beginner text)
