[lojban-beginners] ke'a in lo nu binxo

Hi.  So as suggested in a thread from a couple days ago, I've started reading lo nu binxo (the metamorphosis by franz kafka).  I came upon this passage and had a question:

.... .i lo vrici bukpu mupli to lo nu litru vecnu cu jibri la .samsas. toi cu kuspe cpana lo jubme noi ga'u ke'a dandu fa lo pixra poi gy ke'a pu za katna vimcu lo karni gi'e punji lo melbi....

the part that has me confused is this.  We have:  <stuff 1> noi <stuff 2> ke'a <stuff 3> poi <stuff 4> ke'a <more stuff>

So we have a poi inside of a noi, in this situation what exactly is the inner-most ke'a referring to?  Is it possible to refer to the outermost "relativised it" from within a double nested relative clause?
