Right, because "pu ku" is not a sumti, it's a term. A sumti is a term,
but not all terms are sumti. In addition to sumti, other kinds of
terms are "FA sumti", "tag sumti", "tag KU" and "NA KU",  The
connective for terms (and termsets) is "pe'e je", so "mi pu ku pe'e ja
ca ku klaku" should work.
