What does"dormant" really mean? Is it in fact "dead"? If "dead" then can
it be replaced with a "live" one. If truly "dormant" but not "dead", what
trigger is required to bring it to life again? How long can something be
"dormant" before it is "dead"? Can or should the lojban community continue
to grow and evolve without a BPFK? To whom does the BPFK report?
What is the president's role in all this? What ever happened to the annual
meetings that used to be reported on, but went quiet years ago?
There may be perfectly good answers to all of the above. If there are, why are
they, in effect, being kept a secret? People who are prepared to dedicate a significant
part of their lives to lojban, have a right to know.
Clearly there are members of the community who have been in it for a long time,
know its inner workings and have great credibility in the community as a whole.
They are the ones who have to come up with answers. Newbies like me would
like to help, but we need direction, suggestions and empowerment.
