I see. From what I can tell, "xorlo" is some sort of proposal for
reform of the article system of Lojban. But I have two questions:

- The gadri proposal was "has now been accepted by a vote of 11 to 0
by the BPFK". The proposal seems to date from 2004. Are there plans to
edit the reference grammar (and The Complete Lojban Language physical
book) to reflect these new guidelines, or is there still not enough
consensus in the community, or has there not been enough resources to
edit the book?
I think the plan is to sell all or most of the remaining copies of the
physical book before thinking of a new edition, but another issue is
that the BPFK has been dormant for quite a while, so the lack is
mainly of human rather than monetary resources.

What does"dormant" really mean? Is it in fact "dead"? If "dead" then can it be replaced with a "live" one. If truly "dormant" but not "dead", what trigger is required to bring it to life again? How long can something be "dormant" before it is "dead"? Can or should the lojban community continue to grow and evolve without a BPFK? To whom does the BPFK report? What is the president's role in all this? What ever happened to the annual meetings that used to be reported on, but went quiet years ago?

There may be perfectly good answers to all of the above. If there are, why are they, in effect, being kept a secret? People who are prepared to dedicate a significant part of their lives to lojban, have a right to know.

Clearly there are members of the community who have been in it for a long time, know its inner workings and have great credibility in the community as a whole. They are the ones who have to come up with answers. Newbies like me would like to help, but we need direction, suggestions and empowerment.

xorxes, thank you for that very succint explanation of xorlo, and from the master himself :-) Now I just need to learn enough to understand it in practice.

totus, maybe things have gone quiet with the BPFK and possibly even the LLG itself, but isn't the power to volunteer our services and get other people involved within all of us already? With our help the LLG can be as strong as ever.
