When Pierre mentioned the nutpick, I understood him to mean a pointed utensil for helping remove the meat from the nut, not the nutcracker, which is used to crack the shells of the nuts.  The two are often sold together in sets.  I personally almost never use a nutpick, but nutcrackers can be handy.
