[lojban-beginners] Re: lojban for beginners

This really isn't the right place for this, but really quick, let me just clarify something that I think you're getting confused about Alexandre.

It's not ___ism if it is based off of tendencies.  Let me clarify.  Men tend to have a higher muscle to body weight ratio.  It stands to reason that men will tend to be the one to carry heavy loads simply because it tends to makes more sense in a particular situation.

If I had to move a piano on my own and there was a white female and a black male standing by, statistically speaking I would most likely be better helped by the black male simply because statistically men have more muscle mass, and african americans the same.

Now, if the woman were a body builder and the guy was a software engineer I'd be asking the lady for help :-p

It's not diminishing sexism in any way, on the contrary, sexism is a
fact of the whole society and not just a personal choice. One cannot
just say "well, you could think yourself about some woman carrying a
piano", this kind of behaviour just tries to deny the public
acceptance and the innate sexism nature of the society. The aim is not
making people fuzzy inside, it is rather avoiding to perpetuate the
sexism in the minds within our cultural expressions.
