[lojban-beginners] Become a Lojbanist!
So, I have a Google alert for anything that has the word Lojban. Today, it spouted a forum message about Lojban posted in- of all things- a forum for people that write programs for TI graphing calculators: Cemetech | Forum | General Open Topic | Lojban! [Topic]
So, me being me, I had to reply. Part of my reply was this:
ko binxo.e'o lo cmima be lo jbopre
I really like this, especially since it's one of the first things I wrote in Lojban - and by that I mean that I didn't translate it, even in my head, I actually /thought it out in Lojban/ and wrote it down. Heck, I didn't even try to put it into English until I wanted to come up with a Subject for this post. I'm now officially happy. .ui
Also, I wanted to try this on for size:
It doesn't matter if you make mistakes. What matters is if you learn from them.
lonu srera na vajni .i se vajni lonu cilre fo lonu srera
Any thoughts, suggestions, etc.? I'd like to know if anyone else thinks the above could be improved, keeping in mind I'm not going for an exact translation- it's the _expression_, not the words, that I care about.
