Re: [lojban-beginners] One Ring inscription translation.
{lo xekri} means "The black/dark thing". If you want "The blackness",
you need to use a {ka} abstraction (hinted by the "-ness" suffix),
e.g. {lo ka xekri} or {lo kamxekri} or {lo kamxe'i}.
