[lojban-beginners] Metalinguistic emphasis

I was restating part of my previous (noi misunderstood) statement to
someone in error quotes, and I wanted to emphasize that I was adding a
word. I wanted to place {ba'e} before the word, but that would imply
that I'm emphasizing it in the actual statement, so thought that maybe
{sei} was the answer, but {sei} only metalinguizes a bridi.

So that concludes my leadup. How would I emphasize a word in a quotation?
