Re: [lojban-beginners] Practicality of learning/speaking Lojban

I look at it like learning an instrument. I do it because it's fun, and the goal is to be good at it so that it will be even more fun. There are several practical benefits of learning Lojban, which I'm sure others will enlighten you about, but the real reason I do it is because it's an end in itself.

I've taken up learning Lojban as a hobby, but I was wondering if anyone could come up with any practical benefits of learning and speaking fluently in Lojban?
