[lojban-beginners] APE (Audience Participation Exercise): Lojbanic words of wisdom

So, I know I said I was going to do one of these a week, and I'm sorry I haven't. I haven't been able to think of any good ones until literally just now.

That said, here's the latest APE:

Come up with words of wisdom for Lojban. There's a specific word for this, somewhat related to clichè, idiom, psalm, koan, etc., but I can't remember what it is. Whoever tells me first gets bonus points. :)

You can make something up, you can translate something from another language, whatever. The only requirement is that it be one or two jufra of wisdom an old jbopre would believably impart to grandkids.

To start things off:

{lonu lo srera na ve cilre cu se jalge lonu rapli li ci'i}
"A mistake not learned from is repeated endlessly."

(Come to the Dot Side! Luke, I am your father. :D )
