Some translations from Polish:

lo pu'o dandu na crijinru
("Co ma wisieć, nie utonie", 'what has to hang, will not drown'; in
Polish there's one word for 'sink' and 'drown', so I made up a lujvo
for 'to be lost by being submerged')
va'o lonu na ponse lo se nelci kei ko nelci lo se ponse
("Jak się nie ma co się lubi, to się lubi, co się ma", 'when you don't
have what you enjoy, enjoy what you have')
lo kakpa befi lo cnita be lo prenu cu farlu cy
("Kto pod kim dołki kopie ten sam w nie wpada", 'the one who digs
holes beneath someone is the one who falls into them')
lo te preti na srera
("Kto pyta, nie błądzi", 'who asks questions, doesn't err')
lo nu pacna ku mamta lo bebna
("Nadzieja matką głupich", 'hope is the mother of fools')
ko lo se dunda xirma na denci catlu
("Darowanemu koniowi nie zagląda się w zęby", 'don't examine teeth of
a horse you got as a present')
