"lo ponse be lo mruli be'o po'o".That's correct, but in your original sentence, {lo ponse be lo mruli po'o} means "one who has something that is only a hammer" rather than "one who has only a hammer", which is reflected in the Lojban be the presence, or absence in this case, of {ku}. The difference arises from the fact that po'o is attaching to the selbri of the description sumti instead of the actual sumti itself.In other words, {.i lo nanmu po'o cu kakne} and {.i lo nanmu ku po'o kakne} have (very) different meanings. In the former, "Things that are only men are able", whereas in the latter "Only the men are able." In the former, it's the selbri {nanmu} that is the only relevant selbri, whereas in the latter, it's the sumti {lo nanmu} that is the only relevant sumti..i mi'e la tsani mu'o
