[lojban-beginners] APE: History misconceptions



This week's APE is all about commonly believed historical facts which are /completely untrue/.

There are no rules for this one, other than it has to be something that a great many people /think/ is true, but actually is completely wrong.

For example:

"Columbus wasn't trying to prove the world was round. This was already known. He was trying to get to India by going West."
