Re: [lojban-beginners] Some questions after reading la .teris.

Okay, unlike the last two posts, I will directly answer your question :-)  (And as the author of that story, I can answer other questions about it, too)

  1.  The quick answer is "no".  the format i BAI/(or tense) bo  means that the entire sentence that follows is what is being tagged.  See the CLL chapter 9, section 7

2.  No, jinvi is to have an opinion, krici is to believe something.  Have I used one where you think the other is better?

3.  If you mean how can we use FA words and SE words to get to those places?  By using constructions like "fa xi xa" and "se xi xa".  (see chapter 19, section 6)

I have just read through the CLL version of Terry the Tiger (http://mw.lojban.org/papri/la_.teris._po%27u_lo_tirxu_cu_vitke_zi%27o_le_barda_tcadu) having had to look up a lot of words. It left me with some questions that la sutsis or la jbovlaste couldn't answer:

1. Why all the "bo"s with cmavo in the beginning of bridis? For example .isemu'ibo/.ibabo/.iki'ubo. Don't these cmavo take the following sumti as an argument anyways? What have I missed?
2. jinvi - Is jinvi used for both having an opinion about something and believing something? Coming from Swedish where these concepts are quite separate, it seems like malglico, but perhaps it isn't.
3. When looking up pi'egre in la sutsis it has 6 places. How do we deal with this?
