At the risk of derailing the discussion entirely, is it a good idea to
have a place specifically for 'father'? We're already on the verge of
having the ability for a woman to become pregnant with her own clone,
or a child made from her and another woman, or from two men.

Or am I being overly pedantic? (pedantry? on this list? never!)
