It sort of makes sense if you think "A .i ki'u bo B" = "A ki'u lo nu B"

But the problem is that the rule for ".i PU bo" is just the opposite! :(

"A .i ba bo B" means "A, and then B", it does not mean "A after B" as
"A ba lo nu B".

So you can forgive yourself for being confused, because it is confusing.
